WWE star Matt Cardona supports Russell Crowe for firmly setting boundaries with autograph hunters.
Actor Russell Crowe recently had a tense exchange with autograph hunters outside his hotel in Paris. He set some clear boundaries by instructing them to stay where they were, not to push in, give everybody some space, and let him come to them before he signed autographs for all of them. He did use some expletives in the process, including, “As soon as somebody’s a d**k, I’m gone.”
While many are praising The Gladiator star for how he handled the autograph seekers, some criticized him, saying he was too harsh. However, WWE Superstar Matt Cardona came to his defense, saying he handled it like “an absolute pro.”
“Anyone who thinks he’s in the wrong is wrong…just my opinion. He handled this like an absolute pro,” the WWE star wrote.
Russell Crowe also shut down a post that shared the incident, claiming the Academy Award-winning actor didn’t prioritize the fans. He wrote, “Clickbait. Everybody got their autograph and selfie, the passage to the hotel was kept free for guests, and I still got to the airport on time. One man, no security. Handled. What’s your problem?”
WWE Superstars have faced similar situations on several occasions. There were several incidents during the WrestleMania 42 weekend in Las Vegas, when fans crossed the line trying to interact with the wrestlers. Former World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk even got into an altercation with a fan in the talent hotel lobby.
