New details emerge on the story surrounding Ludwig Kaiser‘s recent arrest.
Last week, police in Orange County, Florida arrested WWE star Ludwig Kaiser (real name Marcel Barthel) on battery charges following an altercation outside a 12th floor elevator. He was later released from Orange County Corrections on a $1,000 bond.
Since then, a number of accounts of the altercations have surfaced, with the complainant, Richard Reap, claiming that he asked Kaiser and a woman to “please have some manners,” after observing them “aggressively kissing” ii the elevator. In response, Kaiser allegedly attacked Reap.
According to Wrestling Inc. founder Raj Giri and some other media, sources indicated that Reap was allegedly quiet during the elevator ride, though once he got out on the 12th floor, he directed ICE comments at Kaiser and his girlfriend, Andrea Bazarte. Afterward, Kaiser and Reap reportedly engaged in a “scuffle” with no punches thrown.
Fightful Select has since pushed back on the latter report, noting that a number of figures within WWE believe that particular story was “planted” within the company. “There was an unfamiliar number that reached out to several members of the wrestling media with the story, as opposed to Kaiser or Andrea themselves, or a member of WWE’s team,” the outlet wrote.
Looking ahead, Kaiser is not expected to have issues traveling to shows for WWE and AAA as a judge has granted him permission. Furthermore, his upcoming mask vs. mask match against the original El Grande Americano is expected to continue as planned.
