Becky Lynch Reveals Former WWE Star Was a Huge Hit With Female Fans

Becky Lynch recently shared a humorous backstage story involving Bryan Danielson and a former WWE star who consistently generated some of the loudest reactions from female fans in attendance.

Speaking on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story? podcast, Lynch recalled how Danielson turned crowd reactions into an unofficial science project during his time in WWE.

While the surveys were lighthearted, they revealed an interesting answer about one superstar’s popularity with a specific section of the audience.

According to Lynch, Danielson regularly conducted informal surveys backstage, asking fellow wrestlers unique questions about crowd responses and fan engagement.

One recurring topic centered on what he called the “lady pop” — a term used to describe the reaction male wrestlers received from female fans during their entrances or matches.

“When Bryan Danielson was with us, he would always do these different surveys amongst people,” Lynch explained. “He’d have different things like who gets the best lady pop on a show.”

She then revealed which performer frequently topped those unofficial rankings.

“The lady pop… When the guys go out and they take off their shirt… Jeff Hardy gets one hell of a lady pop. Maybe the top lady pop.”

For longtime wrestling fans, the result may not come as much of a surprise. Hardy built a devoted fan following throughout his WWE career and remained one of the company’s most recognizable stars for years. In this case, Danielson’s backstage polling seemingly confirmed what many arenas were already telling him.

The story also offered a glimpse into Danielson’s personality behind the curtain. Rather than focusing solely on wins, losses, and storylines, he apparently enjoyed tracking crowd reactions and fan demographics in his own unique way.
