Wrestling fan says Bully Ray’s “awfulness” was responsible for his weight loss.
A wrestling fan on X/Twitter with the username @BostonNooga detailed losing 100 pounds in 400 days at age 43 despite diabetes, insulin resistance, and joint issues. While he said he did it primarily for the sake of his daughter, he said it was also fueled by spite after being compared to Bully Ray and the WWE Hall of Famer repeatedly calling him fat during their online exchanges.
He thanked Bully Ray for being a “piece of sh*t,” saying it fueled his determination to lose weight.
“Dear @bullyray5150, I did it. 100lbs down since April 20 of last year, 400 days to be exact. In spite of being 43, with a bad hip and worse knee, and a lifelong diabetic (with accompanying insulin resistance).
“You see, I got sick of being told I looked like you, because nobody wants to be told they’re like the most detestable person this side of the White House. And in our semi-regular sparring sessions, your only third-grade comeback was “u r fat.” So while the primary reason for me doing this was to stay alive for my daughter, I must say, spite is a helluva motivator,” he told Bully Ray.
“So in a weird way, thank you for being such a piece of sh*t, it truly powered me. And yes I had some medication help, but I also missed 14 gym days in 14 months, and your awfulness was responsible for at least some of this weight loss.
“But more importantly and in closing, you can suck my fit and trim d**k…from the back. Go Sox,” the fan wrote.
