Danhausen has had a huge couple of months in the sports world, and now he may get to celebrate.
Throughout the NBA playoffs, Danhausen has been the darling of the New York Knicks fanbase. After agreeing to “curse” the opponents of the Knicks, Danhausen watched as the Knicks went all the way. The team recently captured its first NBA Championship in over 50 years, and is celebrating big.
As a result of the celebrations, and Danhausen’s role in it, New York radio company WFAN is extending an invitation to him. In a recent post on social media, WFAN invited Danhausen to be a guest at the Knicks’ ticker-tape parade on Thursday. It’s unclear if the star will be in attendance, but given the massive fans he’s picked up along the way, he’ll definitely be celebrated should he attend.
Outside of the NBA, Danhausen also extended his cursing ways to the world of hockey. The star has also been a beloved figure amongst fans of the Carolina Hurricanes, who also just won the Stanley Cup Finals over the Las Vegas Golden Knights. The Hurricanes’ got some help from Danhausen along the way, as he agreed to “curse” Vegas during the finals. The Hurricanes’ championship celebrating parade is planned for Saturday, though it’s unknown if Danhausen will be either.
