AEW star Jack Perry is reportedly nearing the end of his current contract and a new update has emerged about his future. Over the years, he has become one of the promotion’s most recognizable homegrown stars. However, a new contract may soon be needed if he is to remain with the company long-term.
After losing the AEW National Championship to Mark Davis, Perry remained active on television for several weeks. He later competed in the Stadium Stampede match. Perry teamed with Chris Jericho, The Elite members, and The Hurt Syndicate during the chaotic bout where his team picked up a big win.
Following that victory, Perry entered the Men’s Owen Hart Tournament. His most recent match came on the May 27 edition of AEW Dynamite, where he suffered a first-round loss to Mark Davis. Since then, Perry has not competed inside an AEW ring.
According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, Perry is currently negotiating a new contract with AEW. While details remain limited, the report suggests talks are ongoing between both sides. For now, discussions are reportedly still taking place.
Perry has been part of AEW since its launch in 2019 and he has been featured consistently on AEW programming. Many fans expect him and AEW to reach an agreement soon.
