WWE Hall of Famer Close to Cody Rhodes Expected for TV Return — Report

A familiar face with deep ties to both WWE and Cody Rhodes could be heading back to television in the near future.

According to a new report, WWE has recently discussed bringing a Hall of Famer back on-screen. This would potentially end an absence that has lasted more than a year.

While no official plans have been announced, the reported discussions have already sparked interest given the individual’s long-standing relationship with one of WWE’s top stars.

Diamond Dallas Page reportedly discussed for a WWE television appearance

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE has internally discussed a potential television appearance for WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page.

The report notes that Page’s name has surfaced in creative conversations as recently as May. However, no storyline details or specific creative direction have been confirmed.

If the appearance ultimately happens, it would be a one-time television appearance rather than the start of a recurring role.

A return would mark Page’s first WWE television appearance since he inducted Lex Luger into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2025. The wrestling legend has remained connected to WWE in recent years. That includes signing a Legends deal with the company in October 2024.

Page announced the agreement after attending WWE Bad Blood in Atlanta. He praised both Paul Levesque and the company’s new direction under TKO Group leadership.

The report is especially noteworthy because of Page’s close relationship with Cody Rhodes. Their bond stretches back decades and originates from Page’s friendship with Cody’s late father, Dusty Rhodes. DDP has frequently credited Dusty as a key mentor in his own wrestling journey. Moreover, he has often spoken about his commitment to looking out for Cody throughout his career.

That connection has made Page a respected figure within the Rhodes family circle for many years.

For now, WWE’s plans remain under wraps, and no appearance has been officially confirmed. Still, with Page’s name reportedly back in creative discussions, fans may want to keep an eye out for a familiar diamond-shaped hand gesture on WWE programming in the weeks ahead.
