WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray Accused of Rude Fan Interactions at a Jersey Shore Bar

WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray has come under fire after independent wrestling star Joey Janela publicly accused him of behaving rudely with fans during visits to popular Jersey Shore bars.

The comments surfaced on social media during the backlash surrounding Bully Ray’s recent criticism of AEW star Jon Moxley. During an episode of Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray called Moxley a “fraud.”

Janela was one of the people who targeted Bully Ray. However, instead of focusing on the Moxley comments, he brought up Ray’s alleged behavior outside of wrestling.

In a post on X, Janela claimed that Bully Ray is a regular at DJais, a popular Jersey Shore bar. According to him, the WWE Hall of Famer spends Sundays there buying drinks for groups of younger women and trying to draw attention to himself.

He also claimed that when fans recognize Ray and ask for a photo, they are often met with a negative attitude.

“There’s no bigger fraud on the Jersey Shore then 54 year old bubba Dudley, sits around at Djais by himself on Sundays all day buying groups of 22-year-old girls shots, waiting for someone to recognize him and when they do and ask for a picture, he tells him them to f*ck off.

The stories never end; when people find out I’m a wrestler, they go “Do you know Mark (bubba ray), that guys a fucking loser,” Janela wrote.

The discussion quickly got attention as many fans and Jersey Shore locals joined the conversation, sharing their own alleged stories and opinions. Some supported Janela’s claims, saying Ray can come across as unapproachable in public. Others described interactions they felt were awkward.

One fan claimed to have seen Bully Ray at Asbury Ale House and alleged that he often appeared unfriendly toward male customers while acting “weird” around younger women. Janela replied to that comment and agreed with the description, calling Ray a “terror down the shore.”

Bully Ray has always used the motto, “polite fans get what they want, rude fans get what they deserve.” However, at this point, the accusations remain unverified, and Bully Ray has not publicly responded to any of the claims.
