Tony Khan hopes to have Jack Perry around for a long time.
Perry’s AEW contract status has been a hot topic recently, as it’s been reported that he is currently working without a contract. F4WOnline.com‘s Bryan Alvarez recently claimed that Perry is currently working without a contract.
“As of last week, he did not. It’s possible he signed today, but I think he’s still unsigned,” Alvarez stated.
Tony Khan addressed Jack Perry’s status on Thursday’s Forbidden Door media call, sharing that he hopes the former “Jungle Boy” is with AEW for the long haul.
After Brass Ring Media’s Dominic DeAngelo asked about Jack Perry’s future, Khan praised the wrestler’s work in recent months. Khan said Perry has been on a great run, mentioning his matches as National Champion and in the Continental Classic.
Khan said that he likes Jack Perry very much. Although he didn’t directly address whether he re-signed or not, Khan expressed his optimism about keeping Perry in AEW.
“The plan is for Jack Perry to be in AEW for a long time,” Khan said.
As of now, Perry is not scheduled to compete at AEW Forbidden Door this weekend. His last match, a loss to Zack Sabre, Jr. on Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, was also mentioned by Khan as a recent highlight.
