Baron Corbin Reacts to WWE Return Rumors

Baron Corbin reacts to the continued rumors of a WWE comeback.

Rumors of Baron Corbin’s imminent return to WWE have been swirling for over a month, with the latest update from Fightful Select indicating that he wrapped up his Major League Wrestling run in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on May 9. As such, Corbin (real name Tom Pestock) is now reportedly set for a WWE comeback.

Corbin previously denied the rumors of his WWE return. This week, he then addressed them with a question.

“Didn’t we do this exact same thing last month?” he wrote on X.

Corbin left WWE in late 2024 after the company opted not to renew his contract upon its expiration. Following that, he marked his independent wrestling debut by taking on Josh Barnett in a Bloodsport match under the GCW banner. In the months after, he wrestled in other promotions such as Adrenaline Championship Wrestling, Banger Zone Wrestling, and House of Glory.

In MLW, he has enjoyed a reign as MLW World Tag Team Champions alongside Donovan Dijak. Together, they are known as The Skyscrapers.

Last weekend on Fusion, MLW provided an update on Corbin, noting that they and Corbin were “at an impasse” in contract negotiations. Among Corbin’s list of storyline demands were a $190,000 Range Rover and a $2,000-a-night five star hotel suite. Corbin and MLW’s next moves are expected to be revealed on the next episode of MLW Fusion. Depending on the results, it could signal a legitimate exit from the company.
