Hey there. I attended the SmackDown/ECW taping in Birmingham last night and figured I should send in some results.
There was a dark match but I didn’t arrive in time to see it.
SD opened with Deuce vs. Kane. Kane won easily and after the match Colin Delaney attacked him with a chair. Kane no-sold it and chokeslammed Colin.
Vickie is confronted by Rey Mysterio and makes a tag match for later tonight â” Rey and CM Punk vs. Edge and Chavo Guerrero.
Jamie Noble over Kenny Dykstra in a good match. Chuck Palumbo came out afterwards and tried to attack Noble, but Noble tossed him out of the ring. Chuck got all angry again.
MVP cut on promo on Flair. Flair shows up and they brawl. Flair gets the Figure 4 locked in on MVP, but he pulls himself out of the ring before he taps.
Undertaker vs. Big Daddy V ended with Mark Henry interfering. Batista made the save and had a stare down with Taker. They announced V/Henry vs. Batista/Taker for next week.
Khali over Finlay in an OK match. Khali tried to attack Horny afterwards but Finlay recovered and Khali left.
Edge cut a promo basically saying he would beat Rey at the Rumble and he would do it for Vickie.
Rey and Punk over Chavo and Edge when Mysterio pinned Chavo. Good long match. Edge and the Edgeheads beat down Rey again after the match. They hit him with a conchairto as the show ended.
Overall it was a good show. The arena was pretty much full with just a few nosebleed seats empty.
