iMPACT! Rating Update, Bagwell’s Pain Killer Addiction, Diva

The TNA iMPACT! rating will likely be out on Monday… maybe not though as it’s Christmas Eve. I’ve heard it drew a high rating but they are reviewing the Thursday night ratings as there may have been an error.

The always entertaining Buff Bagwell is featured in an article in the Atlanta Journal Constitution talking about his pain pill addiction and depression after WWE released him in 2001. Regarding Chris Benoit, he said, “If Chris Benoit was alive today he would say, ‘Man I can’t believe Bagwell outlived me.’ Cause I was going to be one of the ones that went down first.” Bagwell has a book deal in the works in which he’ll talk about being in the wrestling business and then falling into depression. Bagwell plans to talk about his deep depression, which started when a few pain pills became 20-40 per day following neck surgery in 1998. Bagwell’s wife, Judy, had this to say about his pain pill addiction, “Sometimes he would fall asleep with food in his mouth and I had to wipe it out so he wouldn’t choke,” she said. “Then I’d walk him up to bed and change his clothes.” Bagwell now says he’s trying to live clean after entering an extensive rehab program two years ago. Bagwell also claims he’s working independents (where?!?!?) to earn a fraction of his WCW pay, but he’s still able to make a nice sum of money as he claims he makes $150,000 a year, which is more than what a number of WWE & TNA stars make. Note from Ryan Clark, who has had a nasty past with Buff: How do you make $150,000 a year and still live with your mother? Bagwell still wants to return to WWE, though. “I want another three-or-four-year run,” he said. Good luck, pal.

Tammy Sytch (Sunny) has removed her scathing comments about Rena Mero from her MySpace.com webpage. Meow.

The two bonus tracks that come on the Wal-Mart version of the RAW Greatest Hits CD are Shane McMahon and Randy Orton. Orton is a BONUS track?!?!

Following Thursday night’s iMPACT!, here is the updated card for TNA Final Resolution on Sunday, January 6, live and only on Pay Per View from Orlando, Florida: TNA World Championship Match – Kurt Angle (c) vs. Christian Cage and an Ultimate X Match – The Motor City Machineguns & Jay “Black Machismo” Lethal vs. Team 3D & Johnny Devine. As always, WrestleZone.com will be providing live coverage of TNA Final Resolution on Sunday, January 6 starting at 8:00 p.m. Eastern (7:00 p.m. Central).

WWE Diva Search winner Eve Torres is set to report to OVW for training after the holidays. Good luck to her on a long future. They seem to care less about this years Diva search.
