Backstage Concern At Armageddon Today, Y2J Disappointing?

There is some concern right now backstage at the Armageddon pay-per-view in Pittsburgh, PA concerning the weather and travel. Tomorrow nightâs edition of RAW is live from Buffalo, New York and local weather reports are predicting over a foot of snow in the city. Delays at the airport are expected along with hazardous driving conditions. There is a Winter Storm warning in effect for Buffalo as of this writing.

According to one source there are at least some higher ups in WWE that are disappointed with Chris Jericho and his return to RAW. The feeling is that he is not as over as many within the company expected him to be. This could be yet another indication that Randy Orton will retain the WWE Championship at tonightâs pay-per-view.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution is reporting today that World Wrestling Entertainment has rejected a deal offered by the estate of the Benoit family where the family asked that WWE pay $2 million dollars to Benoit’s two surviving children. The offer came from the laywer for Benoit’s father saying that WWE should pay the amount as “recognition of their father’s contributions to the company”. The paper reported that they expect Benoit to sue WWE.

Regarding a possible return to WWE, Tammy “Sunny” Sytch told the Fight Network out of Canada last week that she spoke to some important people in WWE, but she didn’t want to jinx anything. She simply said, “you never know.” She indicated that she is interested in having another run with WWE. Sytch said she was first contacted about being apart of the Raw 15th Anniversary show two weeks before the show, but was told by Howard Finkel to keep it a secret so that it would be a surprise. However, she was surprised to learn that WWE’s official website announced her return a few days before the show. Sytch, 35, credits her return to her “Sunny body” to her boyfriend (who happens to be a police officer in New Jersey) for encouraging her to return to the gym and dieting.
