WWE was honored last night at SummerSlam by the Continental Airlines Arena in East Rutherford, New Jersey as they were given a permanent banner in the venue for bringing in one million fans during the 92 live events that the company has run there since 1992. WWE actually filmed the one millionth fan entering the building and put him on titantron live in the venue. The fan was booed by the crowd but was given a WWE replica that was signed by WWE Champion John Cena and Randy Orton.
The SummerSlam pre-show meet and greet that was supposed to feature several divas actually featured Jimmy Hart, Cryme Tyme, and Matt Striker. Ron Simmons also interacted with fans during the pay-per-view, greeting fans and taking photos out by the concession stands.
