Aries drags Sabin's face on the ropes and throws him on the ramp, then he leaps from the top rope and punches him in the back before hitting a front release slam. The Aces and Eights make their way out and trip Manik, then he kicks one of them away and leaps at DOC, but DOC catches him and slams him on the mat. The Aces surround the ring but the Main Event Mafia even things up, and we get back from a break to see Manik being stretchered out. Aries uses a fireman's carry slam on the apron to take Sabin out, then he rolls him in a hits a neckbreaker for a near fall. Aries hits a second neckbreaker on the middle rope, then Aries gets distracted by Sting on the apron and he starts yelling at Sting and the ref. Sting stares towards the Aces, who are back in the crowd now, then Sabin repeatedly chops Aries and hits a step up enziguiri. Sabin dropkicks him for a near fall, then he lifts him but Aries backs him into the corner and repeatedly elbows him in the head. Aries chops him and goes for the IED, but Sabin kicks him in the face and charges him in the corner.
Aries avoids it and snaps Sabin's knee on the ropes, then he hits a missile dropkick and connects with the IED. Sabin counters a Brainbuster with a near fall, then Aries hits a Brainbuster but Sabin somehow kicks out at two. Aries puts him in Last Chancery but Sabin grabs the ropes, then Aries stomps him and heads up top, but Sabin avoids a 450 splash and powerbombs him for a two count. Sabin hits Hail Sabin for another close near fall, then Sabin lifts Aries and sets it up again but Aries counters with another near fall rollup. Aries connects with a discus clothesline, then both guys struggle to their feet before slugging it out, and Sabin elbows him but Aries comes back with a dropkick. Aries heads up top and tries to set up an attack, but Sabin counters with a top rope Hail Sabin and makes the cover. Sabin takes the mic after the match and tells Bully Ray he might be looking at the new World Champion, then he raises his title in the air as Bully screams at him.
