WWE RAW Results (1/6) – Punk vs Reigns, RAW Goes Old School!

After a replay from last week, Brad Maddox says they will have a rematch between Damien Sandow and The Great Khali, and the ref will get things right. He announces Bob Backlund, Arn Anderson and Sgt. Slaughter as the choices for a WWE poll, then Kane walks in and asks if he has anything to tell him. Kane says he heard what he said to the Authority last week, then Maddox asks if he's going to threaten physical violence. Kane says no because he could get fired, and it's a no win for Maddox because he'd make sure they never see him again. He says the next time Maddox wants to talk about his job he should think about that, because 'the monster' comes back if Maddox messes with his job.

Big E Langston vs Curtis Axel

Axel hits Langston and goes for a crossbody, but Langston catches him and hits a backbreaker before Axel avoids a tackle and stomps him in the corner. Axel knees him a few times and throws him outside, but Langston throws him into the commentary table and rolls him back in. Ryback (at commentary) yells at Langston and distracts him, but Langston recovers by kicking out of a rollup and hits Axel with a running clothesline and Big Ending for the win.

Winner – Big E Langston

Roddy Piper is here for Piper's Pit, and he starts cutting a promo about Old School until The Shield comes out and Ambrose asks who gave the old man a mic. Ambrose says The Shield would've beaten him down if they were around then, but Piper laughs and says he took the mic and he's still got it. Piper says the only guy who can match him on the mic is CM Punk, then Ambrose says he should tread lightly in this situation. Rollins says he appreciates what he's trying to do but it won't work, and there's no cracks in their armor so he should stop. Piper says Rollins and Ambrose can't beat Punk one-on-one, but Reigns has a chance to do something tonight and he could prove his worth. Piper continues to taunt them until Reigns says he will beat Punk anyway, and he will break Piper in half if he ever touches him again. They all surround Piper and say they will make a lasting impression, but CM Punk and the New Age Outlaws run out and make the save.
