This week’s Wednesday night edition of Impact Wrestling drew a 0.83 television rating, which is almost 6% down from last week’s number. TNA had been growing slowly but surely in their new slot on Spike TV, which was originally designed to escape the NFL football season, and the rumored move of WWE Smackdown to Thursday nights.
Impact saw an average of 1,049,000 viewers tuning in, which is down from last week’s 1,095,000. The silver lining is that while the rating fell almost 6%, the actual viewership only dropped by about 4.2%. The show did a 0.4 in adults 18-49.
KILLAM: Impact has far less major competition on Wednesday nights, but to put it into perspective, there were four episodes of FRIENDS that did better ratings, and that show has been off the air for a decade. Big Bang Theory was the best show on cable last night, dominating the top four spots from 8:30-10:30 on TBS. As far as the major networks go, Big Brother did almost 7 million.
