Update: Another Former WWE Star Alleging Racism in WWE

myztezizAs we have been reporting, former WWE star Alberto Del Rio has done several interviews in which he has alleged racism from top officials in WWE, and now Myzteziz, who originally played the Sin Cara character in WWE, is making similar accusations of backstage racism in WWE.

Del Rio previously claimed people often would make racist comments backstage in WWE, always under the auspices of a joke, and sometimes the comments even came from WWE executives.

Myzteziz claimed in an interview conducted for MedioTiempo.com, that he too was subject to racist comments during his time in WWE. He said the ‘gringos’ in WWE could be “very racist,” with the “bosses” even making racial remarks. It should be noted Myzteziz did not specifically mention whether or not he was subject to racist remarks from other wrestlers.

Myzteziz added that he doesn’t think racism was the reason why things didn’t work out for him in WWE, but he did say it created a bad work environment for minorities in the company. Myzteziz said despite the racism he encountered in WWE, he wouldn’t rule out a return to the company nor would he rule out working for another United States based organization, as he feels wrestling in The U.S. is an honor.
