Steve Austin Triple H Interview – Detailed Transcript: Reigns vs. Bryan, Kayfabe is Dead, Chyna in the HOF?, CM Punk’s Communication Issues, More

WORD ASSOCIATION GAME

Steve Austin throws out names, and Triple H responds with the first thing that comes to mind.

Shawn Michaels: Greatest in-ring performer ever.

Ric Flair: Greatest all-around performer.

Kevin Nash: To me, very under-rated mind for the business. It was sometimes hard to get past his personality. He’s very blunt with people, so he just says what he says, and if you don’t like it, too bad.

Scott Hall: Probably the guy I learned more from than anybody. One of the most under-reated performers in the ring. Just an awesome psychologist.

Eddie Guerrero: Awesome. I miss him. He was so fun when he would let go and be Eddie, and not be caught in his own mind and insecurities.

Brock Lesnar: Freak. I’ve never experienced anything like it.

Paul Heyman: [Long pause] … There’s a fine line between crazy and genius, and he rides that line like a razor blade.

Bret Hart: Unbelievable technician. Maybe some times he takes himself too seriously.

Undertaker: Respect.

Kane: Under-rated. He’s the constant. Always here, always great, just constant.

Pat Patterson: Genius for the business. I respect Pat so much.

Michael Hayes: So under-rated for his contributions to the business.

“Pro Wrestling” or “Sports Entertainment”: I understand the distinction between the two. I understand the difference between WWE Superstar and pro wrestler. I love wrestling; it’s what we do at the end of the day. I love it, and I can scientifically break it down and it’s the greatest thing in the world for me to watch that. But sometimes that’s limiting. Making it to the WWE is different.
