EC3 keeps saying that Bennett is just like him, but Bennett is nothing like him. Bennett says that EC3 has changed and has bought into this notion of being EC3 the ass kicker. Bennett says that he doesn’t need to change or evolve because he knows who he is. He writes the course of his history. Bennett says that he’s already began writing the course of EC3’s career. First two chapters goes like this. The first chapter is called “The Miracle Has Arrived.” The second chapter is called “EC3’s Downward Spiral”. Bennett says that he’s going to kick EC3’s ass and the title of third chapter will be called “Yes We Do.”
Third Match: Mike Bennett w/Maria Kanellis vs. Ethan Carter III
EC3 tackles Bennett as the bell rings. EC3 lands a series of right hands to Bennett in the corner. Bennett fires back with a right hand of his own. Bennett stomps on EC3’s chest in the corner. Bennett lands a series of chops. EC3 applies a wrist lock and chops Bennett in the chest. Bennett with a boot to the gut of EC3 after Maria causes a distraction from the outside. EC3 drops Bennett with the back body drop. EC3 with a powerful clothesline that sends Bennett over the top rope. Bennett and EC3 exchange back and forth right hands on the ramp. EC3 connects with a suplex to Bennett. EC3 rolls Bennett back into the ring. Bennett with a spinebuster to EC3. Bennett with a chin lock to EC3. Maria slaps EC3. Bennett sends EC3 crashing back first to the turnbuckle for a one count.
Bennett with a surfboard submission hold. EC3 fires up with a clothesline, a back elbow, the EC3 splash and a flapjack. EC3 goes for the 1% Percenter, but Bennett holds onto the ropes. EC3 with a inverted DDT for a two count. Bennett with a jaw breaker to EC3. EC3 with the TK3, but as EC3 goes for the pin, Maria puts Bennett’s foot on the bottom rope to break the pin attempt. EC3 goes after Maria. Maria rolls into the ring. Bennett drops EC3 with a cutter. Bennett brings a steel chair into the ring. EC3 ducks the steel chair shot and gets Bennett in the Cobra Clutch. Bennett starts tapping, but the referee doesn’t see it because he’s having a tug a war with the steel chair with Maria. EC3 snags the chair away from the referee. EC3 with multiple chair shots to the back of Bennett to cause the disqualification.
Winner: Mike Bennett via Disqualification
