Michael Cole Talks With Ric Flair & Charlotte About Her Match With Natalya, Ric Being Banned From Ringside, Losing To Paige, More (Video)

WWE has posted it’s latest weekly sit-down interview with Michael Cole. This week Cole is joined by WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte and her WWE Hall of Famer father Ric Flair. You can watch the full video above and find a full transcript of the interview below.

Cole: Welcome guys. Charlotte, eight months ago you sat in that chair. You were on the verge of winning the Diva’s Championship from Nikki Bella at Night of Champions. You are back again and, wow, how things have changed. 

Charlotte: I’m about to beat Nikki’s reign.

Cole: You are closing in on it. How has your life changed?

Charlotte: I am the Women’s Champion now and I have my coach with me. 

Cole: Coach, how proud are you of your daughter. 

Ric: I can’t put it in to words. As I’ve said to many people, it is the most outstanding accomplishment of my entire career to be with her now. To see what she’s accomplished. That’s saying a lot.

Cole: You’re not going to be with her tho a week from Sunday at Extreme Rules. Only on the WWE Network. When Charlotte defends her Championship against Natalya in a Submission Match because Ric you have been banned from ringside. I’d like to ask you this Charlotte. Ric was banned from ringside on Monday Night RAW and you lost. 

Charlotte: I had a lot going on that night. Natalya was on commentary. I had Paige in the ring and my Dad being manhandled. That doesn’t even count. I was distracted. She hit me from behind. Paige. Of course, I’m still the Champ. It doesn’t mean anything. 

Cole: Ok, you were distracted but your Father was banned from ringside and you lost. Can you beat Natalya at Extreme Rules without your father at ringside?

Charlotte: I don’t understand the question.

Cole: Ok, your Dad is banned from being at ringside during your match with Natalya at Extreme Rules. With that being said, do you think you can beat Natalya without your Dad out there?

Charlotte: I don’t understand. 

Cole: Ric, I am going to pose the question to you. Hopefully you will be able to understand. Can Charlotte beat Natalya without you at ringside?

Ric: Nothing is guaranteed. 

Charlotte: Dad, seriously?

Cole: So you’re saying that Charlotte, there’s a chance. You’re saying there’s a chance your daughter could lose to Natalya because you’re not out there to help her?

Charlotte: Don’t put words in his mouth. 

Ric: I said there are no guarantees but…

Charlotte: Dad. 

Cole: But?

Ric: I think she’ll win. Yes.

Cole: You think she’ll win? That doesn’t seem like a confident answer. 

Ric: Ok, she’ll win.

Cole: Without you?

Ric: Without me. She’s been winning her whole life without me. When she was growing up. 

Cole: She didn’t win Monday night without you. She didn’t.

Charlotte: This is how Shane talked to us. This is how Stephanie talked to us. I am the Women’s Champion. Don’t beret me and please don’t put words in my Father’s mouth. You know what? We’re done. 

Ric: Wooooo!
