NJPW Road To New Beginning Results (2/6) Okada & Goto Attempt To Be Double Champions

THIRD MATCH: Katsuya Kitamura Best Of Seven Series: Katsuya Kitamura (0-4) vs. Manabu Nakanishi.

They lock up. They break. They lock up. They break, but Kitamura kicks the gut of Nakanishi. Headlock from Kitamura. Nakanishi sends Kitamura into the ropes and neither man can fell the other. Kitamura finally drops Nakanishi with a shoulder tackle and the two exchange chops. The exchange is vicious and seemingly endless. Kitamura drops Nakanishi to his knees but he leg sweeps Kitamura and they brawl to the floor.

Nakanishi hits a brain chop and whips Kitamura into the railing. Nakanishi sends the Young Lion into the turnbuckle post and the two exchange forearms. They break the countout at fourteen and exchange forearms in the ring. Nakanishi drops Kitamura multiple times and attempts a Brainbuster but can’t lift the muscular rookie. Kitamura reverses with a Vertical Suplex.

Kitamura hits a running corner elbow and then a running shoulder block for a two count. Kitamura hits a fall forward slam for a two count. Kitamura hits the Spear for two. Kitamura goes for the Jackhammer but Nakanishi fights out. Kitamura tries to throw Nakanishi into the ropes but Nakanishi counters with a clothesline.

Nakanishi hits a lariat for two. Nakanishi goes for a rack but Kitamura fights out and the two chop away at each other. A double chop from Nakanishi sends kitamura to the canvas. Anotehr strike exchange and Nakanishi gets a two count. Nakanishi locks in the Torture Rack for the submission.

WINNER: Manabu Nakanishi

FOURTH MATCH: Rocky Romero & Roppongi 3K vs. Suzuki-gun (Yoshinobu Kanemaru, TAKA Michinoku & El Desperado)

Suzuki-gun ambush 3K to start the match. Kanemaru starts against Sho & Yoh but the two send him out of the ring. They hit a hurricanrana/clothesline combo on El Desperado. Yoh and Desperado exchange dropkicks and everyone brawls on the outside. Kanemaru and Yoh end up all the way in the crowd, while Sho gets beaten on by Desperado. There’s almost a countout but Rocky rolls Yoh back in the ring. Desperado covers for two.

Desperado attacks the leg of Yoh. Desperado locks in a Stretch Muffler. Sho breaks it up but gets tossed to the outside. TAKA tags in and takes over the duty of injuring Yoh’s left leg. Yoh fights back and chops the chest of TAKA but TAKA kicks his leg out from under him. TAKA tags in Kanemaru and they hit a double wishbone. Kanemaru continues the assault on the left leg. Yoh counters a back drop to little effect, but eventually hits a dragon screw. Sho tags in.

Sho clears the apron and hits a running corner lariat. He attempts a German Suplex but his back gives out. Kanemaru dodges an attack and attempts a lariat but Sho counters with a German Suplex. Sho attempts a Package Piledriver but Kanemaru fights out. After an Enziguri and a spear, Rocky tags in and TAKA tags in. The two exchange strikes and Rocky hits Forever Clotheslines on Desperado and TAKA. Rocky goes for a hurricanrana but TAKA counters with a crossface. Sho and Yoh break it up and clear the apron. TAKA hits a Thrust Kick on Rocky for two.

Desperado locks Yoh in a Stretch Muffler. Kanemaru attacks Sho. While the two are distracted Rocky hits TAKA with a backslide for the pinfall.

WINNERS: Rocky Romero & Roppongi 3K.

After the match, Suzuki-gun attack the winners and hold the IWGP Jr. Tag Belts high, essentially challenging Roppongi 3K.

FIFTH MATCH: Toa Henare, David Finlay & Juice Robinson vs. CHAOS (Toru Yano, Tomohiro Ishii & Jay White)

White and Finlay start but White tags out and Yano comes in. Juice then tags in. Yano grabs the dreads of Robinson and tries to tie his braids but Robinson counters. Robinson goes for the Airplane Spin but Yano gets to the rope.

Juice goes for the Dusty Punches but Yano tags in Ishii. Ishii pummels Juice. Ishii charges Juice but Henare pushes Juice out of the way and hits a tackle. Henare tags in and shoves the referee getting to Ishii. Ishii and Henare trade strikes. Henare drops Ishii with a shoulder block. Ishii corners Henare and hits an endless torrent of chops and elbows. The referee eventually breaks up the mauling. Ishii runs Henare’s face into the exposed turnbuckle and tags in Jay White. White hits a dropkick for two. White throws Henare into the exposed turnbuckle and tags in Yano.

Yano whips Henare into the exposed turnbuckle. Ishii tags in and chops Henare and then kicks him in the head. He corners Henare but Henare fights out. Ishii chops Henare in the throat and Henare goes down. Yano enters but gets suplexed by Henare. Finlay tags in. White tags in. Finlay punishes White. Finlay hits a running European Uppercut. Finlay corners White and hits a running european uppercut. White hits a dive for a two count.

White blocks a suplex and then hits a Side Suplex on Finaly. White goes for another but Finlay counters into a Uranage Backbreaker. Henare tags in and hits a huge shoulder tackle, followed by a Spear. Henare hits a Spinebuster on Ishii. Everyone hits running corner attacks on Jay White. Henare hits a top rope flying shoulder for two.

Henare hits a huge running lariat but Jay comes back with a series of forearms. Jay White hits Blade Runner and then hits MMA Elbows on Henare until the referee stops the match.

WINNERS: CHAOS
