PWInsider.com is reporting that Alberto el Patron (aka Alberto del Rio) recently met with Vince McMahon at WWE HQ in Stamford, CT.
Patron was not just at WWE HQ to meet with Vince McMahon, he was also there filming interview material for an upcoming project being produced by WWE about Rey Mysterio.
According to PWInsider Vince McMahon is high on the idea of bringing Patron back to WWE. Apparently he really likes Alberto del Rio and thinks he’s an amazing performer and character.
Patron is currently under contract with Impact Wrestling until next month. Impact met over the weekend with all of their talent whose deals are almost up with hopes of getting them to agree to new ones, including Patron. From what PWInsider is told there is a hope that Impact will still be able to ink a new deal with Patron.
Paton is scheduled to face Austin Aries for the Impact Wrestling Championship on April 22nd at Impact’s Redemption PPV.
