WCW

Several Sweden outlets such as Expressen revealed that former WCW wrestler Frank Andersson has passed away at the age of 62. Andersson won a number of gold medals in the 1970 and 1980s at different World Championships.

Andersson was trained by Brad Rheighans and appeared for NJPW at the the 1991 Battle Autumn Tag series. Andersson tried out for WWF but did not make the cut. He was signed by World Championship Wrestling in 1993. He appeared regularly on WCW Pro and WCW Worldwide and sometimes competed in matches that were only shown to European audiences.

Andersson retired in 1995 and later came out of retirement to wrestle locally in Sweden in 2014 and 2015.

They do not know exactly what happened, but his heart did not last through the night. The life-support aid was shut down now before the night came.

Wrestlezone would like to express condolences to Frank Andersson and his family during this hard time.
