X-Division Title Match
RVD (c) vs Zema Ion
Zema had a can of hair spray, reverting back to it throughout the match for cheap heat. RVD used the can during the match, taking it out to ringside and interacting with the fans by spraying their hair with it and even came back in the ring and sprayed in the ref hair. A lot of crowd taunting throughout the match, which set most of the place. RVD win with the 5 star frog splash.
Tara (c) vs ODB
This was a non title match. ODB was very over with the hometown crowd. They put on a decent match. ODB wins the match in a quick match that wasn’t very exciting.
James Storm vs. Devon
Good back and forth match put on between these guys. Storm was over great with the crowd. Devon ends up winning after interference from Aces & Eights members. He used a bat and hit Storm in the gut and made a quick roll up.
Bully Ray vs Doc of Aces & Eights
Bully Ray was very much in face mode tonight. Decent match between the two big men. Very physical. Ends in DQ as Devon and a Masked member came out for the 3 on 1 attack. Devon had Doc grab a table and as he was about to put Bully thru, Storms music hits and he comes to the ring. Storm hits the Last Call Superkick on DOC and then Bully puts him through the table. After the match they brought a kid in, Storm and Bully signed a piece of the table and gave it to him.
At intermission, you get get Earl and Brain to sign Earl's "You damn right I did" referee shirts for only 10 dollars.
A. J. Styles vs Christopher Daniels
Very typical match between these two. Very lack of intensity in this match. Felt like they were just going through a slow flow of normal bs and you could tell. Daniels received quite a bit of heat from the crowd.
MAIN EVENT: TNA World Title Match
Jeff Hardy (c) vs Austin Aries
Again wasn't much of a match. Lasted maybe 10 minutes. Very basic match between the guys. Lots of heat for Aries. Hardy was obviously very over with the crowd. Hardy wins with the twist of fate no swanton bomb which was a bummer.
Other Notes: After the show you could get in the ring for a quick picture with Hardy and the title for $20.
A few of the superstars hung out in the bar afterwards and were willing to take pictures with little or no fuss. Some include; James Storm, Bully Ray, Zema Ion, Devon, DOC, Austin Aries, Christopher Daniels, So Cal Val.
I was able to take a shot with Devon, DOC, and Zema Ion which was really cool. Got picture with Bully Ray and James Storm.
Overall I was very happy with the show. Superstars were very cool after the show to interact with the fans and that was really awesome.
Nick was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until the age of 18, when he decided to pack his flack jacket and move to New York City.
