Report: WWE Nixing Undertaker vs Braun Strowman Plans Due to Online Backlash?

While we have been reporting that Vince McMahon views Braun Strowman as a personal “project” and is very high on the idea of Strowman vs The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32, online reaction to the match idea might be forcing WWE to nix previous plans.

When news of a likely Undertaker vs Braun Strowman match at ‘Mania first broke last week, the first 24 hours of extremely negative fan reaction to the match idea may have changed WWE’s plans, according to PWInsider. A very well-placed source noted that the online backlash to the match idea might have caught on with WWE, changing plans for both Undertaker and Strowman at ‘Mania. When news initially broke of the match idea, we also noted there are officials in WWE who were not keen on Strowman having his first big singles match at ‘Mania, despite Vince being high on the idea.

As always, it’s important to remember that Vince McMahon ultimately has the final say in booking, so even if most WWE officials are against Strowman vs Undertaker, if that’s the match Vince finally wants, that’s what we will get at WrestleMania.
