WWE Worlds Collide Results:

Tonight’s show kicks off with the Mexican and American national anthems.

Penta then comes out to hype up the live crowd. He’s not dressed to compete. The promo is mainly in Spanish, so I can’t recap it for you all. My apologies.

La Parka, Octagón Jr., Laredo Kid, and Mascarita Sagrada vs. Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde, Lince Dorado, and Mini Abismo Negro

  • The finish of the match saw Mascarita Sagrada roll up Mini Abismo Negro to score the pinfall victory for his team.

Winners: La Parka, Octagón Jr., Laredo Kid, and Mascarita Sagrada

Grade: B+

This was a fun opener. However, I kinda feel like it went on a bit too long and overstayed its welcome. I think it could have been somewhere in the A grade had they shaved about five minutes off the match, but that’s just me.

Who will leave Worlds Collide with the AAA Mega Championship?

Rey Mysterio is backstage doing an interview. He’s interrupted by Dominik Mysterio, who says he’s going to win the AAA Mega Championship tonight from Vikingo, and when he does, he wants Rey to come out and raise his hand and put the title around his waist.

Rey says if Dom wins, he’ll put the title around his waist and leaves. Finn Balor comes in and tells Dominik that if he wants to prove to the world what kind of champion he is, he needs to win tonight’s main event on his own.

No. 1 Contender’s Match: Natalya vs. Faby Apache

  • The finish of the match saw Natalya catch Faby Apache with a rollup to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Natalya

Grade: A-

I love watching the Nattie character. And while I completely understand why she doesn’t trust WWE to handle this character properly on RAW or SmackDown, it would be a lot of fun to see. I’m hopeful Nattie wins some gold in AAA since they aren’t doing much with her in WWE right now.

New Day will look pretty different tonight

The New Day and Grayson Waller are backstage. Kofi Kingston says they are leaving Worlds Collide tonight with the Tag Team titles. Xavier Woods says he had to have surgery on his head yesterday, and he’s not medically cleared to compete tonight.

Woods says Kingston and Grayson Waller will compete tonight. Waller says combined, they will become 15-time champions tonight. Waller says it doesn’t matter what Woods is afraid of clowns, which Xavier immediately tries to downplay. Weird last-minute change to this match…

AAA World Tag Team Championship Match: Psycho Clown and Pagano (c) vs. Kofi Kingston and “Big G” Grayson Waller (w/ Xavier Woods)

  • The finish of the match saw Psycho Clown get Grayson Waller in a la magistral cradle to score the pinfall victory for his team.

Winners: And still AAA World Tag Team Champions, Psycho Clown and Pagano

Grade: B-

I gotta be honest, a lot of my excitement for this match went out the window when they took Xavier Woods out of it in the last minute. It immediately gave away the finish because there was no way they were putting tag titles on Kingston and Waller. The match was fine, but if Woods were involved, I think it would have been way better.

The Wyatt Sicks arrive

After the match, they are about to do an in-ring interview with the champs, but are interrupted by the Wyatt Sicks. They make their way to the ring and take out Pagano and Psycho Clown.

Mixed Tag Team Match: Mr. Iguana and Lola Vice vs. Finn Balor and Roxanne Perez (w/ Raquel Rodriguez)

  • The finish of the match saw Lola Vice hit a spinning backfist on Roxanne Perez to score the pinfall victory for her team.

Winners: Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana

Grade: B+

This was very silly, but also thoroughly enjoyable. When push comes to shove, I was sports-entertained with this matchup. Nothing wrong with that.

AAA Latin American Championship Fatal 4-Way Match: El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. (c) vs. Dragon Lee vs. Ethan Page vs. JD McDonagh

  • The finish of the match saw El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. hit the Wagner Driver on JD McDonagh to score the pinfall victory

Winner: And still AAA Latin American Champion, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.

Grade: A-

Best match on the show so far. All four men brought it. This was a very fun matchup. Although it was pretty obvious we wouldn’t see a title change this evening.

AAA Mega Championship: El Hijo del Vikingo (c) vs. Dominik Mysterio

  • The finish of the match saw El Grande Americano toss his steel plate to Dominik, who used it in his mask with a torpedo dive, followed by the Frog Splash to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: And NEW AAA Mega Champion, Dominik Mysterio!

Grade: B+

After the match, Rey Mysterio comes out and reluctantly puts the AAA Mega Championship around Dom’s waist and leaves. The Judgment Day hit the ring to celebrate with Dom, but he seems more concerned to celebrate with Americano instead as Worlds Collide goes off the air.

WWE Worlds Collide Review:

I enjoyed the show overall, but I don’t think it was as strong as the Worlds Collide event that took place back in June. The event didn’t have the same magic that it had for some reason. On paper, this card looked very strong and was poised to overtake the original event, but it just didn’t happen for me tonight. The finish of the main event was still strong enough to earn a solid grade for the night.

Grade: B+
