Chelsea Green: Social Media Is Everything, I Don’t Know Where I’d Be Without It

Chelsea Green attributes her success in WWE to her social media presence.

During a recent interview with Tudum by Netflix, reigning WWE Women’s United States and AAA Mixed Tag Team Champion Chelsea Green shared that her goal was always to be a champion in WWE.

“As a wrestler, we have goals. We set timelines for ourselves. Of course, one of the goals is always to be a WWE Champion.”

Chelsea Green also noted that interacting with fans on social media has helped grow her popularity, saying she wouldn’t know where she’d be without it.

“In 2023, I realized how personal it was to be able to interact with fans on social media. I’m able to curate my own narrative and storylines. Now that’s just who I am. I connect and further the message I want to get across. Social media is everything. I don’t know where I’d be without it.”

Chelsea Green recently became a double champion after defeating Giulia to regain the Women’s United States Championship. She and Ethan Page are set to defend the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship against Joe Hendry and Thea Hail on NXT Gold Rush on November 18.

Chelsea Green Says She Sees Herself In This WWE NXT Star

Speaking on the Gabby AF podcast, Chelsea Green had high praise for her tag team partner, Ethan Page. She claimed that after seeing his character work and promo skills, it felt like Page was a male version of herself.

“He walks out and he starts talking and I’m like, ‘Holy shit. Is he — he’s me,’” Green said. “I was just so caught off guard. I get in the ring and I’m talking and out of my peripherals, I can feel his facial expressions, I can feel his energy. He leans over like this and I’m like, ‘He’s perfect.’

“He’s exactly what we’ve been missing that we didn’t even know we’ve been missing. After that promo, I think we both immediately knew that this was something. We just continued to build and learn that we have the same goals in mind and the same work ethic and drive.” [H/T: Fightful]
