This WWE Superstar wants to team up with Jenna Ortega.
WWE has seen a major uptick in celebrity appearances since the UFC merger. RAW’s Netflix premiere earlier this year featured several Hollywood names at ringside, including Golden Globe winner Kieran Culkin.
Culkin shared a brief moment with CM Punk following the Straight Edge Superstar’s main event bout against Seth Rollins. During their post-match interaction, Culkin told Punk he was a massive fan, prompting a light-hearted exchange between the two.
Speaking of CM Punk, the reigning World Heavyweight Champion was recently named a “dream feud” by a fellow WWE Superstar. In a new interview with Metro UK, Roxanne Perez said she would love to face the Second City Saint in a dream match at WrestleMania.
“Honestly, probably CM Punk, because he was my favorite growing up,” she said. “If I had the chance to wrestle someone, main event WrestleMania with a male wrestler, it would definitely, 100 percent, be CM Punk.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Perez said she is “pretty inspired” by Jenna Ortega and noted that she would love to team up with the star of the Netflix series Wednesday.
“Just everything that she does, how young she is, she’s Latina, and she’s killing it in the movie scene,” Perez said. “I would love to tag with her!”
Macaulay Culkin shares funny story about meeting WWE’s CM Punk on a plane
Macaulay Culkin appeared at the WWE RAW Netflix premiere episode on January 6 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, where he received one of the loudest crowd reactions of the night. WWE cameras showed Culkin on screen and fans immediately erupted, giving him a huge pop.
Macaulay Culkin recently appeared on WIRED, answering the internet’s most searched questions. He was asked if he likes wrestling and his response made his fandom very clear. He said, “I love wrestling, are you kidding me? I’m a lifelong wrestling fan. Actually, a well known wrestling fan, too.”
Culkin attended another show a few weeks later on the way there, he happened to be on the same plane as CM Punk. He said, “I was going out to Raw a couple of weeks later and I was on the plane with CM Punk. I was like, ‘Hey Phil, I’m going to Raw tomorrow. Good luck. ‘Thanks. I just want to let you know, me and the boys in the back, we thought it was funny that you got a bigger pop than Roman Reigns from the audience.” [H/T: Fightful]
