Macaulay Culkin, a lifelong wrestling fan, has shared a funny story about running into CM Punk on a plane while talking about his love for WWE.
Macaulay Culkin has never hidden his love for professional wrestling. The Home Alone actor appeared at the WWE RAW Netflix premiere episode on January 6 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, where he received one of the loudest crowd reactions of the night. WWE cameras showed Culkin on screen and fans immediately erupted, giving him a huge pop.
Following that appearance, Culkin continued attending WWE RAW shows throughout the year, becoming a familiar face in the crowd. Macaulay Culkin recently appeared on WIRED, answering the internet’s most searched questions.
He was asked if he likes wrestling and his response made his fandom very clear. He said, “I love wrestling, are you kidding me? I’m a lifelong wrestling fan. Actually, a well known wrestling fan, too.”
He then recalled the moment he realized just how strong the fan reaction was to his RAW appearance. “Recently, I went to one of the early Raws on Netflix and got a big pop from the crowd. They showed me in audience.”
Culkin attended another show a few weeks later on the way there, he happened to be on the same plane as CM Punk. He said, “I was going out to Raw a couple of weeks later and I was on the plane with CM Punk. I was like, ‘Hey Phil, I’m going to Raw tomorrow. Good luck. ‘Thanks. I just want to let you know, me and the boys in the back, we thought it was funny that you got a bigger pop than Roman Reigns from the audience.” [H/T: Fightful]
