WWE’s Seth Rollins Says He Doesn’t Need His Shoulder For Signature Move Despite Injury

Seth Rollins has addressed concerns about his shoulder injury, making it clear that while the issue remains serious, it won’t stop him from executing his signature offense.

Rollins discussed the situation amid ongoing fan speculation following recent WWE storylines tied to his finishing move.

The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion suffered a significant shoulder injury late last year. He clarified that his condition limits certain aspects of his in-ring work, but not everything fans associate with his offense.

Seth Rollins explains his shoulder injury and why his finisher remains lethal

Speaking candidly (via TikTok user @casey_buscher), Seth Rollins stressed that his shoulder is “not fine” and remains a major limitation.

Rollins said he cannot lift an opponent over his head or throw anyone outside his direct line of sight.

However, he added that he does not rely on his shoulder to perform his finishing move. He left the implications of that distinction to speak for themselves.

Rollins suffered the injury at Crown Jewel while attempting a coast-to-coast diving headbutt on Cody Rhodes. He landed hard on his left elbow, driving the impact into his shoulder. Afterwards, Rollins admitted his arm was effectively dangling at his side, making it difficult to throw punches or forearms.

The explanation also connects to recent speculation following the 2026 Royal Rumble, where a masked attacker used The Stomp on Bron Breakker.

Because the move relies on speed and foot impact rather than upper-body strength, some fans questioned Rollins’ involvement. The former Shield member later stated he was not in Saudi Arabia, and reports have since dismissed him as the attacker.

Rollins’ comments reinforce that his shoulder injury remains unresolved, even as he continues to compete.

While his overall move set is clearly affected, his ability to execute his finisher allows WWE to keep him active as storylines develop. As questions about his health persist, Rollins’ transparency offers clarity on what he can and cannot do in the ring currently.
