WATCH: The Miz Crashes American Idol to Promote WrestleMania 42

The Miz promoted WWE WrestleMania 42 in style by crashing the set of American Idol.

With one of WWE’s biggest events of the year only a few days away, the superstars are doing all sorts of media appearances to promote WrestleMania 42. Former WWE Champion The Miz, however, took things up a notch and invaded the American Idol set.

He made his way out to the music and noted that he’s there to take over as the host of the event, replacing Ryan Seacrest. When the latter didn’t budge and asked The Miz to take a seat, the WWE star lifted Seacrest on his shoulders, gave him a good spin, locked him in a playful headlock, and forced him to promote WrestleMania 42.

Despite him promoting the event, The Miz’s status for WWE WrestleMania 42 is still up in the air. Kit Wilson recently challenged Danhausen to face him and the A-Lister in a handicap match, but the promotion hasn’t made it official yet. However, he will officiate five Las Vegas ‘WWEddings’ ahead of the PLE.

“When I first started in WWE, I was told, ‘Be the Ryan Seacrest of WWE.’ Now I’m throwing him off of his stage. Ha,” The Miz wrote on Twitter/X. “Gotta love all the promotion for Wrestlemania on ESPN App this weekend, April 18, 19 not to mention AMERICAN GLADIATORS on PRIME VIDEO this FRIDAY, APRIL 17”

The Miz says it doesn’t matter if WWE is real or fake

During his recent conversation with The Undertaker and Michelle McCool on the Six Feet Under podcast, The Miz opened up about always facing the question of whether WWE is real or fake. He noted that it doesn’t matter because it’s entertainment and people watch WWE exactly for that purpose.

“The No.1 question I got on the real world was, ‘Is it real or fake?’ No.1 question I get in WWE, ‘Is it real or fake?’ The fact is, it doesn’t matter. It’s entertainment, and if you’re going to watch it, you’re gonna watch it because you’re entertained, and it’s fun, the storylines, and the larger-than-life characters. Nowadays, I don’t think people care as much as they used to,” The Miz said.
