What’s Next for Brock Lesnar After WWE Clash in Italy?

Brock Lesnar will reportedly continue in WWE after the Clash in Italy Premium Live Event.

Brock Lesnar’s retirement tease at WWE WrestleMania 42 turned out to be a ruse, as the Beast Incarnate made a shocking return on the May 18 episode of RAW to attack Oba Femi. The two will compete in a rematch at the Clash in Italy PLE this Sunday.

While fans continue to speculate if Brock Lesnar will retire for real at Clash in Italy, a new report from Wrestlevotes Radio (via Fightful Select) suggests that the Beast Incarnate will continue in WWE after the event. As of now, he’s not scheduled for Saturday Night’s Main Event in Madison Square Garden on July 18.

However, Brock Lesnar could return in the near future, amid belief among people in WWE that he could return for SummerSlam in Minneapolis, due to his roots in the city.

Fans believed that Paul Heyman owing Gunther a favor for facing Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 42 would result in the Career Killer retiring Brock Lesnar. However, the Ring General used up that favor to get a spot on the SmackDown roster to go after Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Championship. It will be interesting to see what the promotion has in store for Lesnar after Clash in Italy.

Brock Lesnar explains why he returned to WWE after deciding to retire

Appearing in a video on the May 25 episode of WWE RAW, Brock Lesnar explained why he chose to return after teasing a retirement at WrestleMania 42. He noted that his loss to Oba Femi at the event made him want to quit. However, he could not accept his career ending that way.

“I didn’t quite get the chance to congratulate you last week on your big victory over me at WrestleMania. Congratulations, Oba. Well done. But that victory is going to cost you more than you could ever imagine. Oh, I’ve had my share of a** whoopings over the years, but none quite like that,” Brock Lesnar said.

“It was humbling. You beat my a** at WrestleMania so bad I said, ‘That’s it, I’m done.’ But that doesn’t sit very well with me, Oba. It’s not gonna end that way, Oba Femi. Brock Lesnar can take an a** whooping, but can you? You’re gonna get your a** kicked by a humbled, retired Beast. Brock Lesnar will conquer Oba Femi. I am gonna rule over Oba Femi,” he finished.
