TNA Wrestling Announces Surprise 2026 Hall of Fame Inductee at Slammiversary

TNA Wrestling made a surprise Hall of Fame announcement at Slammiversary.

The TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view is currently underway at the Agganis Arena in Boston, Massachusetts. The opening match featured Cedric Alexander defending the X-Division Championship in the 55th Ultimate X match in the company’s history against six other contenders, including a returning Amazing Red.

The veteran almost walked away with the TNA X-Division Championship as he and Leon Slater hung on the cable, unhooked the title, and had a tug-of-war with it. Slater pulled it out of Red’s hands, but didn’t fall to the mat to win. It allowed Cedric Alexander to come out of nowhere and snatch the belt from Slater’s hands to retain.

After the match, Frankie Kazarian picked up a mic and showed his respect to Amazing Red, lauding the influence his fellow TNA original has had on the current generation of wrestlers. He then re-directed his attention to a video package, in which the promotion announced that Red would be inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame at the Bound For Glory event in October.

Kazarian made a similar surprise Hall of Fame announcement at the 1000th episode of iMPACT in September 2023 for his wife, Traci Brooks. The latter showed up during the Slammiversary countdown show to announce a 16-knockout tournament to crown the inaugural TNA Knockouts Television Champion.

Amazing Red is the second star TNA announced for the 2026 Hall of Fame, as the promotion announced former Knockouts Champion ODB as the first inductee at Rebellion back in April.

Update: Later in the show, TNA also confirmed Konnan will also be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.
