Toni Storm‘s WWE exit didn’t occur under the best of circumstances and she ended up signing with AEW in early 2022. The real-life Toni Rossall made her debut for Tony Khan’s promotion on the March 30 episode of Dynamite against The Bunny.

Since then, Toni Storm has feuded with many up-and-comers and established veterans on the AEW women’s roster – putting on solid matches in the process. She’s also been a two-time AEW Women’s World Champion.

Toni Storm vs. Willow Nightingale (Forbidden Door 2023)

Toni Storm turned heel toward the tail-end of her AEW Women’s World Championship run. At Forbidden Door 2023, Storm put the title against the upstart Willow Nightingale who had already made waves with her in-ring work.

Willow proved to be a tough fight for Storm, who relied on her veteran instinct to counter the more aggressive challenger. Willow tried to pick up the win with the Doctor Bomb, but as she was about to deliver the move, Storm gouged her eyes to sneak up the win with Storm Zero.

Toni Storm vs. Thunder Rosa (Forbidden Door 2022)

Thunder Rosa defeated Britt Baker in a brutal Steel Cage Match at Dynamite’s St. Patrick’s Day Slam TV special for the AEW Women’s World Championship on March 16, 2022. Rosa proved herself as a fighting champion with multiple successful title defenses.

She came face-to-face with Toni Storm at Forbidden Door on June 26, 2022. The two opponents went back-and-forth with several near falls. Strom tried to take out Rosa with Storm Zero, but she reversed the momentum with the Final Reckoning to retain her title.

Toni Storm vs. Jamie Hayter (Full Gear 2022)

AEW were put in a tough position after Thunder Rosa relinquished the women’s title due to injury. Tony Khan booked a four-way between Toni Storm, Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter, and Hikaru Shida for the interim championship at Forbidden Door 2022, which Storm won.

The champion put her title on the line against friend-turned-rival Jamie Hayter at Full Gear 2022. This was a hard-hitting brawl between the two former friends. Fans had been pushing for Hayter to win the title and she did so by overcoming Storm in a solid match to become the AEW Interim Women’s World Champion.

Toni Storm & Thunder Rosa vs. Dr. Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter (AEW Dynamite – August 3, 2022)

Toni Storm found herself in a heated rivalry with longtime friend Jamie Hayter after she arrived in AEW. Hayter had aligned herself with Dr. Britt Baker. Storm joined Thunder Rosa to take on the pair on the August 3, 2022, episode of Dynamite.

This was a solid match that pitted two teams with different in-ring styles against each other. The villainous duo of Baker and Hayter triumphed over ThunderStorm after 12 minutes of action.

Toni Storm vs. Hikaru Shida (AEW Dynamite – August 2, 2023)

Toni Storm’s best match to date came against Hikaru Shida on the 200th episode of Dynamite in August 2023. The pair had been on a collision course over the AEW Women’s World Championship. Tony Khan booked the two in the main event of Dynamite 200.

Storm’s British technical grappling complemented Shida’s Joshi style. The two put on a solid spectacle in front a pumped up crowd at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida. In the end, the Comical Ace defeated Storm to capture the AEW Women’s World Championship.
