Title This: WWE Money in the Bank Reaction

Randy Orton is Money in the Bank

Randy Orton

Although much different of a booking sense from the first ladder match, the main event was spectacular. There were so many storylines involved in the match. The match kicked off with the place erupting for Rob Van Dam, who put on a hell of a show. Van Dam hit his big spots, including a 5 Star Frog Splash from the rop of a ladder. I give credit for RVD coming in and holding his own on such a big stage. Next would be Sheamus, a guy seemingly nobody rooted for to win. He is still young in the WWE and will continue to be utilized to his potential. He is a main event guy when you need him to be. Sheamus his a White Noise onto a ladder, but his biggest spot came when he crashed through a ladder and completely broke it apart. I can say that I said "holy sh*t" when he went flying through the ladder. Christian put on a great performance as well, even though you knew he was not going to win. Christian is always going to be that solid wrestler that helps the match continue at a fluent pace. Daniel Bryan was a ball of fire in the middle of the match and almost grabbed the briefcase until Curtis Axel came and attacked him. Axel beat down Bryan and would get a GTS from Punk. I am not sure if Axel vs. Bryan is what WWE wants, but I would not be surprised if Axel is used just for the fact that Heyman would soon turn on CM Punk. As Punk climbed the ladder, Heyman turned on Punk and crashed the ladder into his body. Heyman walked out and really created a moment for us. All week, I felt that Brock Lesnar would come out. This might not have had the pop Lesnar would have gotten, but it was just as effective. It is more personal and more realistic. At the end, Orton hit an impressive RKO onto RVD, climbed the ladder, and captured the briefcase. I predicted this victory and am happy that WWE went this way. I will be the first to admit that I feel like Orton puts it on autopilot in the ring, going through the motions. He is still a great performer, has such big drawing power, and just needs a tweak of his character to get over again. Orton NEEDED this more than anyone else in the match.
