Number 2: Money in the Bank Appearances

Cody Rhodes competed in multiple Money in the Bank matches, but the one in 2013 was by far his most important. Rhodes was an underdog, a guy who has done so much in WWE that the only thing he needs is a world championship match. In the World Heavyweight Championship Money in the Bank Ladder Match, Rhodes stole the show. He hit big spots, kept the pacing of the match, and was inches away from capturing the briefcase. Instead, his former partner Damien Sandow tossed him off the ladder and grabbed it. I was really nervous right after this match because I thought it was a “now or never” moment for Rhodes. He would turn face and exact revenge on Sandow. Think about where Sandow is now and where Rhodes is. This could not have gone better for a loser in that match than it did for ody. THANK GOD he did not win that match because his path would be much different right now.
