Bandido Is Honored To Represent All Latinos As ROH World Champion, Vows To ‘Give 1000%’ At PWG Threemendous VI

Bandido is currently carrying two major championships; he’s the reigning Ring of Honor World Champion, and he has held the PWG World Championship since December 2019. The fan-favorite star doesn’t take this responsibility lightly, as he’s determined to represent his region and his predecessors as best he can.

In an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Bandido described how he’s proud to carry the ROH World Championship, which has been defended by legends like Bryan Danielson, Samoa Joe, CM Punk  and many others. He promised to do his best to honor this legacy, and he also state that he’s honored to carry on the legacy of renowned luchadores.

“I am so happy and proud to represent all Latinos as the world champion of Ring of Honor,” Bandido said through a translator. “And I am going to work hard every day to defend this title and make it even more special.”

“I am not just representing myself,” Bandido says. “I have a great responsibility to represent my entire region, star luchadores like Ultímo Guerrero, Blue Panther, Dr. Wagner and Andrade. That is a very big task, and I am honored to do it.”

After a lengthy hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, PWG returned in August with Mystery Vortex 7, where Bandido successfully defended the world title against Black Taurus. Heading into his next defense on Sunday night at Threemendous VI,  the champion vowed to put everything he has into his match with Davey Richards.

“I am preparing to give 1,000% against Davey Richards,” Bandido said. “He will present a strong challenge, but I will give the fans everything I can.”
