Roman Reigns Comments On Potential Transition To Hollywood: ‘I Think There’s Gonna Be Some Moves’

WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is one of the company’s top stars, and while he’s in the middle of a remarkable run, many fans continue to wonder whether it’s a matter of time before “The Tribal Chief” makes the jump to Hollywood.

Plenty of major names in wrestling have made the same shift; John Cena and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson have become huge stars in the entertainment world. Given Reigns’ previous Hollywood ventures, such as a guest-starring role in “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw,” fans continue to predict that he’ll eventually follow in the footsteps of Johnson and Cena.

During a recent appearance on The Michael Kay Show, when asked about this potential outcome, Reigns made it clear that he’s interested in doing more work in Hollywood because he has gained plenty of skills that could help him make the jump successfully.

“We’ll have to see,” said Reigns. “I think there’s gonna be some moves made here pretty soon. There’s always these speculations, these contract talks, you know, while that portion of it is my business, people who can dive deep enough, I’m sure they uncover, you know, turn enough stones to figure out the time frame, but that’s something I definitely want to dabble in. And I wanna gain more experience, and I want to use the tools that I’ve learned.”

“The Head of the Table” went on to describe how he knows that, at some point, every wrestler has to transition into the next phase of their career. Reigns expressed his confidence that, with the “tools” he has acquired throughout his WWE career, he can thrive by creating content in another environment.

“WWE has done so right by me,” said Reigns. “They’ve given me so much and placed so many great blessings and opportunities in front of me. And I just had to capture them, I just had to grab that ball and run with it. And I like to think that along the way, I’ve just picked up so many skills and experienced so many different things that are going to help me because at the end of the day, we know how this works. This is a young man’s game. You can’t fall down your whole life.

“You have to get to a point where you can transition, where you can continue to connect and create new, fresh [and] evolved content for your fan base and your supporters. And I think I have the ability to do that.”

Reigns then stated that if he gets thrown into the deep end in Hollywood, he’ll “swim” because that’s exactly what he did in WWE.

“At the end of the day, it’s about getting in that game, being thrown in that fire and seeing how you do,” said Reigns. “But I have a pretty good track record with being thrown in the deep end, and if that’s what happens in Hollywood, I’m gonna swim.”

“The Tribal Chief” will face WWE Champion Big E at WWE Survivor Series on November 21 in a battle of between the company’s world champions in the men’s division.
