Tony Khan Comments On Jeff Hardy And Cesaro Potentially Joining All Elite Wrestling

AEW remains open for business, and Tony Khan will continue to look at the free-agent market when talent is available.

All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan held his pre-Revolution media call ahead of the March 2 edition of AEW Dynamite and delved into a number of topics, including the potential addition of former WWE stars Jeff Hardy and Cesaro.

Khan was asked about Jeff Hardy recently being filmed saying he was headed to AEW and the likelihood that still happens. Hardy has since commented and said he was heard in the wrong context, but Khan said while Hardy still has some time remaining on his non-compete clause with WWE, he’s interested in reuniting The Hardy Boyz in All Elite Wrestling.

“I don’t think anybody should consider it a foregone conclusion. I do really like Jeff a lot, I think Jeff is still obligated to another company for several more days but at some point when Jeff is free and clear, I’d love to have Jeff in AEW. Jeff is a friend of mine, I really like him very much and I think the world of him, I have a lot of respect for him as a wrestler and he’s also a really nice person. I think he would fit in very well in AEW and we would love to have him…potentially.”

Later in the call, Khan was asked about Cesaro, who has reportedly left last week WWE after his contract expired. Khan expressed great admiration for the former Claudio Castagnoli while admitting he’s potentially interested in making the former WWE star All Elite.

“I do like him a lot and I have to say, I met him several years ago and he’s a real gentleman, Claudio. I have a ton of respect for him as a pro wrestler, I think he’s a great athlete, he’s a phenomenal, phenomenal athlete, lets be honest, his strength is tip-top, he has very few peers in the power department. Also mentally, he puts great matches together, he has great psychology and he’s just a great guy. Yeah, that’s something I’d always be open to.”
