A new Major League Wrestling Caribbean Champion was crowned tonight on MLW Fusion.
Octagon Jr. (formally known as WWE Superstar Kalisto) came out of the cyclone match as the brand new Caribbean Champion.
The closing moments of the match saw Hijo de LA Park dive on top of Caribbean Champion King Muertes into the crowd. This left Octagon Jr. and El Dragon alone to finish the matchup. Octagon Jr. won the match with an impressive top rope fallaway Spanish fly to score the pinfall victory.
This is an impressive feat for Octagon Jr. to capture the Caribbean Championship on his first night in Major League Wrestling.
With the former champion King Muertes not being involved in the decision of the matchup, one would have to believe that he will get his rematch against Octagon Jr. for the championship sooner rather than later.
