New Name Qualifies For Ultimate X At IMPACT Slammiversary

Following last night’s episode of IMPACT on AXS TV, the card for Slammiversary is more clear as another name has qualified for the Ultimate X Match. Trey Miguel defeated Alex Shelley to earn his spot in the X-Division Championship Match. Here’s how it all went down:

Ultimate X Qualifier

Alex Shelley vs. Trey Miguel

Miguel shake hands with Shelley before the bout begins. The fight goes to the outside adn athleticism is shown as Miguel moonsaults onto Alex.

Back in the ring the two fight further in what turns out to be a very good match. Modified dragon sleeper by Miguel keeps Shelley grounded. Shelley later turns the tide with a flatliner in the corner. Both battle it out in the ring with forearm elbows. That turns to chops.  Shelley maintains control with a consistent arm wrench. A flurry of kicks turn the tide  as both men reverse one another Shelley avoids a Meteroa atttempt. Shelley lays out some moves but it’s Trey who catches the W with a crucifix roll up.

WINNER: Trey Miguel

Tag Team Title Match Set As Good Brothers & Briscoes Renew Hostilities

Also, last night it was confirmed that The Good Brothers will challenge the Briscoe Brothers for the IMPACT World Tag Team Championship at Slammiversary. IMPACT issued the following:

Two of the greatest tag teams in professional wrestling history are set to collide at Slammiversary – but only one can be called the best. It was during a backstage altercation between The Good Brothers and reigning IMPACT World Tag Team Champions The Briscoes when Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson reminded “Dem Boys” that they’ve never defeated them in IMPACT Wrestling. Never backing down from a fight, The Briscoes accepted their challenge before IMPACT Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore made the match official. Having scored a victory over Jay and Mark Briscoe earlier this year at Multiverse of Matches, will The Good Brothers reclaim their spot at the top of the mountain? Or will The Briscoes prove that they’re the new face of the IMPACT tag team division?
