Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson had several surprises in store at a recent screening of his latest film.
The Rock was in Los Angeles for a screening of his DC League of Super-Pets movie, but no one knew it was him because he was actually disguised as his character in the film, Krypto. The surprises didn’t stop there, however, as he also surprised a California family with the puppy they always hoped to own.

The Rock commented on the screening on Instagram, posting the following message after the big reveal took place:
Stuff like this will always be the best part of my job.
I LOVE surprising audiences of our @sevenbucksprod films, but this #DCSuperPets screening surprise was special
I dressed up as my character, KRYPTO and surprised two audiences here at @cinemark in LA. Best part was finding a loving home with the Hernandez family for my lil’ guy, Quail
An incredible night all in the spirit of celebrating PETS
#DCSuperPets IN THEATERS THIS FRIDAY!!
The puppy, Quail, was rescued from Best Friends Animal Society, the largest no-kill sanctuary in the United States.

DC League of Super-Pets hits theaters on July 29; check out the new trailer for the film at this link. Johnson is joined in the cast by John Krasinski, Keanu Reeves, Jameela Jamil, Diego Luna, Natasha Lyonne, Vanessa Bayer, Marc Maron, Kate McKinnon, Olivia Wilde, John Early, Daveed Diggs and Dascha Polanco.
The Rock will also appear in another DC property in Black Adam, which will be in theatres on October 21, 2022.
