For Moose, there are more important things than money.

Moose has been with IMPACT Wrestling for the better part of the last decade and he has no plans on leaving anytime soon. During his time with the promotion, Moose has held the IMPACT World Championship, the TNA Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship, and the defunct IMPACT Grand Championship.

Speaking with Kevin Kellam of Sportskeeda, the former champion explains why he remains loyal to IMPACT, despite other flourishing promotions elsewhere in wrestling.

“That’s one thing (creative freedom) that IMPACT gives you. We might not pay as much as all these other companies pay, but a lot of times, money is not everything. Happiness is very important. This is coming from a guy who had the opportunity to go work elsewhere. It’s not like we haven’t been given those opportunities to go to WWE and go to AEW. But at some point, you’ve got to think what comes first to you, whether you want to chase after the money or the happiness that you get with the company that you’re working with,” Moose said.

Furthermore, Moose credits the creative freedom in the promotion.

“Having creative freedom and having to give your input on what your character would do in certain situations is big. That’s something you don’t get elsewhere but in IMPACT, where Scott (D’Amore) cherishes. (…) I like that freedom.”

On TV,  the “Wrestling God” is in a rivalry with Sami Callihan. Sami, like Moose, is another wrestler that prefers the creative freedom IMPACT affords him.
