Tessa Blanchard Reveals What She’s Been Up To Lately

Tessa Blanchard has provided an update on her whereabouts in and outside the squared circle.

Blanchard has sparingly wrestled the last two years, following her termination from IMPACT Wrestling and quiet removal from Women of Wrestling (WOW). The multi-time champion returned to professional wrestling at Hurricane Pro earlier this summer, defeating Miranda Alize. Since then, Blanchard competed on two other occasions at Pennsylvania Premier Reloaded, most recently tag teaming with Dani Mo at PPW Anniversary IX.

Tessa Blanchard provided an update on her whereabouts when she’s not competing, noting that she’s been staying out of the spotlight on purpose.

“I kind of do that (be secretive) on purpose,” she told Bill Apter of Sportskeeda. “I like to keep some things for me, some things for my family. So right now, I’m in school, which is my main focus.”

Blanchard specified that she enrolled in the International Affairs program at the University of Texas at San Antonio. Although school is her main focus right now, Blanchard noted that she only tries “to do one or two of the wrestling get-togethers or matches a month. Honestly, not too much more than that at the moment,” she said.

The former IMPACT World Champion continued on repeat that doing “whatever makes me feel happy” is her main priority for the time being. When asked about her status and sporadic appearances on the independent circuit, she stated: “I don’t want to compromise my happiness for anything. Not for money, not for popularity, not for followers, not for any of that.”

Blanchard was originally part of the WOW: Women Of Wrestling revival that was announced last year. Blanchard was signed as an in-ring talent and served as a casting director, but quietly left the promotion earlier this year. WOW’s relaunch premiered in syndication in September.
