The Bella Twins Comment On Lack Of Women’s Evolution Clips Shown On 1/23 WWE RAW

The Bella Twins (Nikki Bella and Brie Bella) point out the way the 30th anniversary of WWE RAW didn’t showcase the Women’s Evolution.

Throughout the mid-2010s and into the end of the decade, women on the WWE roster strived for better opportunities to showcase their skills. At the time, the roster included The Bella Twins, Paige, and later additions like Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch. These efforts led to WWE’s first all-women’s show, WWE Evolution, and the historic main event of WrestleMania 35, where Lynch defeated Flair and Ronda Rousey.

Given the significance of this era, many fans expected to see it showcased on the January 23 episode of WWE RAW, which honored the 30th anniversary of the show. Various other highlights were shown throughout the show, but the women’s evolution was not featured.

In a clip of the stream, Nikki questioned the lack of clips of the women’s evolution on RAW. Brie and Nikki described how there are multiple women, like Saraya and Mercedes Mone, who the company didn’t want to show on Monday’s episode. (Transcription via Fightful)

Nikki Bella: Another good memory on Raw. How didn’t they showcase anything from the the women’s evolution?

Brie Bella: But also the way we did our matches on there.

Nikki: Because Sasha Banks in it and they’re like, ‘We can’t…

Brie: The Bellas, there’s a bunch of us.

Nikki: Mercedes is too over, and we can’t say her name.

Brie: There’s a couple other girls, and Raya, there’s a bunch of us they don’t want to show. That’s fine.

Nikki: That’s fine. When you do what they don’t want to do…

Brie: It’s not what you don’t do. It’s what you do do.

Nikki and Brie were originally advertised for Monday’s episode of  WWE RAW, but they were not among the several legends who appeared on Monday’s show.
