Kurt Angle: The 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble Match Had The Best Finish I’ve Seen In Years

Kurt Angle gives the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble five stars.

WWE held the Royal Rumble premium live event on January 28. The show featured two Royal Rumble battle royals; Cody Rhodes won the men’s match, while Rhea Ripley emerged victorious on the women’s side of things. Ripley won the match by last eliminating Liv Morgan.

Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, the WWE Hall of Famer was asked to share his thoughts on the Royal Rumble. He spoke highly of the women’s battle royal and stated that it was the best finish he has seen in years.

“I thought it was a great Royal Rumble,” Angle said. “I’m not gonna lie to you, the finish of the women’s Royal Rumble was the best finish I’ve seen in years. Rhea Ripley, the way that that match ended, was incredible. I was so impressed by it. I have to give the women five stars for that match.”

Co-host Paul Bromwell pointed that WWE announced that Ripley chose Charlotte Flair as her WrestleMania opponent, while Rhodes is set to face Roman Reigns at WWE WrestleMania 39. Angle noted that he expects both matches to be “really good”, and he expressed his belief that Ripley has been “pretty strong lately.”
