Seth Rollins: It’s Hard To Feel ‘Anything But Slighted’ By Being Left Out Of WrestleMania 39 Main Event

Seth Rollins isn’t sure who leaves WrestleMania with the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, but he feels like he got a bit snubbed by not being involved in that match.

Speaking with Sports Guys Talking Wrestling‘s Stew Myrick at Super Bowl LVIII, Seth Rollins was asked about the WrestleMania 39 main event between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes. Rollins said he feels like there’s a bit of salt in the wound because he’s not in the match, but it’ll be incredible no matter who walks out with their hand raised.

“I don’t know the answer to that question, man. It’s hard for me to look at that match unbiased, I think. I want that match, I want that spot. I want that title and I do not have it. There’s a lot of salt in the wound of having to talk about it. It’s difficult for me to analyze. I will say you’re looking at a rock and a hard place. You’ve got Roman Reigns, who is on an incredible run, but you’ve got Cody Rhodes, who is riding a lot of momentum. When those two guys meet, if that is the match — it could be Sami Zayn in that spot, we’ll see after Elimination Chamber — it’s going to be a generational main event at WrestleMania.

“Again, it’s hard for me to feel anything but slighted by it, so that is what it is. But, I will take a page out of [fellow guest Renee Manfredi’s] book and I will support my family, my brothers regardless of the outcome. It’s not about winning and losing, it’s how you play the game. It’s going to be an incredible main event at WrestleMania no matter what it is.”

As of now, Seth Rollins does not have a match at WrestleMania 39. He will compete at the Elimination Chamber premium live event on February 18, stepping into the titular Chamber as one of five challengers to Austin Theory’s United States Championship.
