WWE is reportedly bringing the King of the Ring tournament back to pay-per-view, but this time, there’s a twist. The Queen of the Ring tournament will accompany it.
Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics revealed in a video exclusive to Wrestlenomics’ Patreon subscribers that WWE plans to host two Premium Live Events in May. First, on May 6, wWE will present Backlash. In recent years the event has been known as WrestleMania Backlash.
Then, on May 27, WWE will reportedly present King and Queen of the Ring. WWE hasn’t named a pay-per-view after the king of the Rings since 2002. This year, the tradition appears to be returning.
WrestleZone will provide more event updates as more updates from the official.
