Tony Khan Announces 6/17 AEW Collision Will Be At The United Center In Chicago

The first episode of AEW Collision will take place at the United Center.

After much anticipation, AEW President Tony Khan appeared on the May 24 episode of AEW Dynamite to officially announce that the premiere episode of AEW Collision on Saturday, June 17, will indeed emanate from the United Center in Chicago.

This news all but confirms that CM Punk is expected to return that night, as heavily rumored for weeks. It was initially reported that Punk’s involvement with Collision wasn’t announced last week due to a snag in plans for his return, however it appears that those issues have been resolved.

The first time AEW ran the United Center was for the second episode of AEW Rampage in 2021, which was titled “The First Dance” for CM Punk’s debut and return to wrestling after over seven years away. The company then held the first Forbidden Door pay-per-view in the same arena last June.

WrestleZone will have complete coverage of Collision as it airs on Saturday nights on TNT.
